Kate Butler

About

Kate Butler is a British artist and writer, and graduate in Fine Art: Sculpture from Camberwell College of Arts, London. She is alumni of the Associate Studio Programme through ACME Studios, and is a current studio associate with SET. Her work plays with domesticity and memory as structures of the psyche, gesturing makeshift, transitional objects from found materials.

Kate is studying an MA in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths, where her writing interrogates time, psychopower and subjectivity. Her academic texts, as well as a series of intimate contemporary exhibition reviews, are available to view alongside her artworks.

Kate’s most recent show was Over and Out, an exhibition at the Highline Building, London, 19-25 September 2025.
